A. PROGRAMME FORMAT AND OBJECTIVES


This programme has been designed to help graduates of tertiary institutions acquire the essential knowledge, skills and values they need to consistently deliver impressive performances at work so that they can secure jobs that would enable them to meet their personal needs and contribute to the development of the communities they belong to. Successful applicants will go through a rigorous training programme, after which they will be absorbed by collaborating organizations. Those who perform well in the end-of-programme-assessment will progress into Management positions in the collaborating organizations if they are able to transfer their learning to the work place and sustain it. Participants who prefer self-employment/Business will be assisted to start their projects before the end of the programme. Ogudoro Leadership Trainers and Management Consultants and Reputation Nominees are collaborating to make this contribution as a social good that would lift the beneficiaries and their families out of financial insecurity. An Employability Certificate will be awarded to the successful participants at the end of the programme. Only 50 applicants will be selected for each of the 12 alternative classes which will hold in Lagos, Abuja and PortHarcourt. Details of the alternative claseses are available below. The selection process will be highly competitive. The criteria for selection include clear vision, creativity, resilience, good community service record and proven leadership ability.

B. PROGRAMME CURRICULUM


To qualify for the Employability Certificate, beneficiaries of the programme will attend classes and participate in project-based experiences that will enable them to learn the following:
1. Communication Psychology and Getting What You Want from People
2. Trends Analysis, Public Relations Policy, Planning & Strategy
3. Branding, Marketing, Advertising, and Provoking Viral Demand
4. Public Relations Theory & Practice for Sustainable Success
5. Communicating (and Using the Media) for Dramatic Results
6. Etiquette and International Business Grooming for Financial Security
7. Public Speaking, Political Communication, Event Management, and Report Writing
8. Communicating for Innovation and Successful Social Enterprise
9. Building and Managing Impactful Organizations and Flourishing Businesses
10. Development Communication and Social Engineering
11. Basic Accounting and Record Keeping for Personal and Official purposes
12. Excellent Customer Service for Sustainability
13. Corporate Social Responsibility, Leadership and Community Service
14. Business Law, Copy Right, Patent, Accountability and Balance
15. Accessing Fellowships and Scholarship Programmes for post-graduate programmes within and outside Nigeria. Beneficiaries will learn how to write Personal Statements and proposals for Master’s and PhD admissions into universities in Europe, Canada, and USA.

C. DURATION AND DATES


Each class will run for 4 weekends or 8 weekdays. See a list of the available classes below.
Monday - Saturday classes will start at 9am and end at 4pm while Sunday classes will start at 12noon and end at 6pm. Choose the class you find most conveinient. Assessment will be done on the last day of the programme. Beneficiaries who go through the programme successfully will resume work in the absorbing organizations (which include Reputation Nominees) thereafter.

E. RESOURCE PERSONS


Dr. Peter Ogudoro, an Employability and Development Communication Expert who holds a PhD in Education from the University of Reading in England will serve as the Lead Resource-Person. His full profile is available here. He will be assisted by practitioners of diverse professions who will share their hands-on experiences with the trainees.

F. FEE


The commercial value of the programme is N450, 000 but being a social responsibility project of the collaborating organizations, successful applicants will pay only N75, 000 to benefit from the programme. 10 candidates with the best written applications will study for free. We expect successful applicants to be able to express themselves clearly in English Language both verbally and in writing. Winners of the 10 free slots will be applicants whose mission statements are original and uncommon, reflecting innovativeness, community service and commitment to the common good of our humanity.

G. REGISTRATION


Application for participation in the programme will open on Monday, November 25, 2019 and end at 4pm on Tuesday, December 31, 2019. To secure a place on the programme, complete the online form below after paying N2,000 for screening which is done on a rolling basis.You will be informed of the outcome of your application within 10days counting from the day you submit it. Cash payments are not allowed.
